COMMON MISTAKES DURING A JOB INTERVIEW
I've been working for a leading amusement center in the Philippines for 5 years now and handling of its operations is very challenging. Basically, one of the major considerations in having a quality service is getting the right person for the right job. During the process of hiring, selection and placement of personnel I can say that a lot of applicants fail to pass an interview because of some overlooked yet important things to qualify in the first stage in "closing a deal". I would like to share at least 3 of the common mistakes an applicant commit during an interview. 1. Coming late for an interview. Applicants do come very late for an appointment. This give your prospective employer an idea how poor your time management is. Remember this, Time is Money. 2. Rushing for an interview empty-handed. Preparing for an interview is not just simply putting on your best clothes but also equipping yourself, at least, of basic information of the position you are applying for and the company itself. Do your homework. No amount of self confidence can save you from failing. 3. Exaggerating things during the interview. Answering questions is different from narrating. You are being ask with specific question and answer it concisely. Do not forget that your goal is to present your qualifications and sell it, so looking desperate gives an impression that you lack emotional maturity. You have a little chance of getting hired if you do this every time you look for a job.
